“Hacktics CCFI Hacking Challenge”

It is so common these days to see on a movie an hacker using just a laptop and cellular data card, transferring large amount of money from victim’s bank accounts to his own, disappearing from the bank accompanied by a beautiful lady and a briefcase full of money.

How many times, YOU have imagined this scenario? Well… For the first time, the CCFI conference will hold an online hacking challenge! During the challenge, participants will get the opportunity to try and hack an online bank in a “capture-the-flag” type of contest. The challenge will allow anybody with basic technical background to participate and will be both fun and educative. Technicalities The challenge will be a Web Application Hacking challenge.

Prior to the challenge, Hacktics’ CTO will give a 30 minutes overview of Web Application Hacking techniques, so everybody can participate in the challenge! To participate in the challenge, you will be required to bring your own Laptop with WiFi connection. We strongly advise to come with fully charged batteries, as we cannot guarantee the availability of power outlets in the conference facility.

We also recommend that you will have an interception-proxy type of software installed, such as Paros Proxy. Such software may be required during the challenge, and installing it on the fly may take valuable time. To download Paros: http://www.parosproxy.org/download.shtml
